Terrell Belin
Senior Manager, Service Delivery
What I do at The New York Public Library
As Senior Manager of the IT Service Management Team my role is to ensure that technology is readily available and working for NYPL patrons and staff. Inventory management of our tech portfolio, dispatching technicians to expedite troubleshooting, onboarding new staff and introducing new technology to our branches and research centers are all encompassed in my day to day activities.
Why The New York Public Library
The New York Public Library has afforded me many opportunities to advance my career and education. When I started as a library page in 1992 I never dreamed that my career would last this long and that I would be in the position I am today. NYPL is one of the finest institutions anyone could work for.
Who am I?
I am an IT Manager with over 20 years of experience in the technology field and have provided 29 years of service overall to the New York Public Library. In that time I have worked in all areas of IT, including data and support call centers, project management and client support services.
As a client support manager for 16 years I have been a liaison between IT and NYPL staff and have extensive experience in technical writing of procedures and training of new technologies, merger/acquisition events, technology replacement projects, and IT process improvement.
