What I do at The New York Public Library

Manager, Educator Development

Why The New York Public Library

The New York Public Library’s commitment to free and equitable access to knowledge, culture, and learning is what draws me to this work. It’s a rare institution where world-class collections and ideas are truly open to the public; that access matters. Connecting educators and students to these resources isn’t just valuable, it’s essential. It creates space not only to understand history and culture, but to actively shape and engage with them in deep, intentional ways, sustaining the relevance of art, ideas, and public learning in our city.

Who am I?

I am the Manager of Educator Development at The New York Public Library’s Center for Educators and Schools. I lead the design and delivery of professional learning experiences for K–12 educators, connecting teaching and learning to NYPL’s collections, exhibitions, and cultural partnerships.

My work focuses on developing high-quality programs, managing cross-institutional collaborations, and supporting a team that delivers impactful, educator-centered learning opportunities across New York City.

Advice for prospective candidates

Approach your application as an opportunity to reflect on your relationship to access, education, and meaningful engagement with art, culture, and archives. Think about how your work has invited people not just to encounter these materials, but to engage with them in deeper ways, to connect, question, and build from them, and where you have taken ideas from concept to execution in collaborative, real world settings.
