Christina Entcheva is a software engineering leader with over 10 years of experience in software engineering, product management, product design, public speaking, and technical mentorship.
As Director of Software Engineering, Readers, Learners and Institutional Services at NYPL, Christina leads Engineering for the Reader & Learners and Institutional Services groups, which build and maintain our digital platforms, and push forward our unified patron experience vision across multiple applications and databases.
Christina is passionate about responsible AI, shipping with velocity and safety, tight feedback loops, strong product thinking, close cross-functional collaboration, and building high performing teams that deliver delightful experiences for customers.

Christina is also a technical mentor who volunteers her time teaching coding to communities impacted by incarceration (Emergent Works) and teenage coders (Hack Club).
As a public speaker, Christina has presented at conferences including Microsoft Build, LeadDev, and AI in Production. This year, she is a member of the programming committee for LeadDev, which is scheduled for October 2026.
