Supervising Librarian, Children's Services

What I do at The New York Public Library

As the Supervising Librarian of Children's Services at the Bronx Library Center I oversee the children's department and staff. My goal is to provide excellent customer service to patrons of all ages. BLC is the largest public library in the Bronx and we are proud to offer a variety of diverse children's programs. I assist the children's staff in implementing all programs for children ages 0-12 and connecting with the community.

Why The New York Public Library

The New York Public Library is a place where you can learn and grow. NYPL has a large network of libraries and staff that support each other. The Library encourages lifelong learning through trainings and speaker events. Every day is different and you can experience new things including conducting programs, doing outreach to schools and community partners, and interacting with patrons. If you like working with the public and connecting people to resources they need this is a great job that is truly meaningful.

Who am I?

I am originally from upstate New York and have been living in NYC for 10 years now. I have a Bachelor's of Journalism from the University of Missouri and a Master's of Library Science from Queens College. I have worked as a children's librarian for a non-profit library and for the New York Public Library. I am an avid reader.
