What I do at The New York Public Library
I'm one of two Senior Managing Editors in the Communications & Marketing team at NYPL. Like all my colleagues, I work with numerous teams across the Library to promote our free services and programs. This includes everything from our education programs and high-profile events to exhibitions, public relations campaigns, and more.
Why The New York Public Library
The Library is a fantastic place to work! The projects are varied, the people are friendly and helpful, and the responsibility of being custodians of and sharing such an incredible public resource gives one a great sense of purpose every day.
Who am I?
I have been at the Library since 2020. Prior to that, I worked in TV, government, and law. I do some freelance writing alongside my work at NYPL and love to swim and run.
Advice for prospective candidates
Be prepared to talk about how you organize and prioritize many projects at the same time! The Library is a busy and stimulating environment where things often require immediate attention as well as steady progress behind the scenes.
